We've organized the most common questions into categories to help you find what you're looking for quickly.

Program Overview

3 questions

What degree will I earn?

You'll earn a globally accredited Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree. You will also have the option to pursue a specialization in AI or Cybersecurity.

How long is the program?

The program takes three and a half years to complete. This program includes a four-month full-time boot camp, followed by part-time study/optional apprenticeship, and finally an optional full-time apprenticeship. Most of your time is spent in the part-time study / optional apprenticeship period (about 2.5 years). If you choose not to pursue an apprenticeship, you will continue studies part-time.

What makes Clarke College different from traditional universities?

Clarke's CS degree takes 3.5 years to complete rather than 4. The curriculum and program emphasize career-ready skills and practical experience, rather than academic topics that you won't use in the real world. We are laser-focused on preparing you for a career. The learning experience favors hands-on projects combined with optional, real-world apprenticeships.

Apprenticeships

3 questions

How do the apprenticeships work?

Apprenticeships are optional, but highly recommended. You can apply for the apprentice program through our partner organizations. Reach out to our team for more information.

Can Clarke help me find an apprenticeship?

Yes. We work closely with partner organizations to place students in apprenticeships that align with their skills and goals.

What kinds of jobs do graduates get?

Graduates are prepared for roles in software engineering, data analysis, DevOps, and emerging tech fields like AI and cybersecurity.

Cost & Financial Aid

2 questions

How much does the program cost?

The tuition for the entire 3.5-year program is $46,800, which is lower than the cost of one semester at many large schools. Our format is designed to give students the option for apprenticeships or part-time work to make the cost of the program accessible.

Is financial aid available?

Yes. Clarke partners with lenders who specialize in working with schools like ours.

Admissions & Requirements

3 questions

Do I need prior coding experience?

Having some experience in technical subjects is undoubtedly helpful, but not at all required. The program starts with a foundational software engineering boot camp designed for beginners. This will jumpstart your knowledge and prepare you for further study and the apprenticeship.

What is the admissions process like?

Apply online, meet with an advisor, and complete a short interview. We're looking for curiosity, motivation, and commitment—not just grades.

When can I start?

We offer multiple cohorts per year. Check our Admissions page for upcoming start dates and deadlines.

Learning Experience

2 questions

Is the program entirely online?

Yes. Clarke is fully remote, but highly interactive, with mentors, peers, and project work built into every phase. You'll collaborate with mentors and peers through tools like Slack, GitHub, and live sessions, with structured mentorship and feedback every step of the way.

Is Clarke College accredited?

Yes. Clarke College is a member college of Woolf University, a globally recognized and fully-accredited European collegiate institution. This makes your degree portable and verifiable, just like any other degree program.
